New Vehicle for Diversion Outreach Team made possible through Major Sponsors
(LETHBRIDGE, AB – April 5, 2017) – Operated as part of the HomeBASE program, the Diversion Outreach Team since its launch in December 2015, has provided a mobile diversion response to street level addiction and public intoxication through a transportation for individuals to access shelter and health services. In the last year, the team has seen a significant increase in requests for service, while working alongside emergency services to create a more efficient system. In response to this program growth and the need for sustainable transportation, we are pleased to announce that the program will be soon on the streets in a new vehicle made possible by some of our key stakeholders and sponsors.
Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta South Region would like to acknowledge the contributions of our major sponsors of this new vehicle, Social Housing in Action (SHIA); Downtown Lethbridge BRZ; and College Ford Lincoln both for the sponsorship of this vehicle and their ongoing support of this essential program.
